Halloween

Halloween or All Hallows' Eve is celebrated on 31 October, the eve of the All Saints' Day. It is the beginning of Allhallowtide, a time dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed.

Popular Halloween traditions today include ‘trick-or-treating’ (commonly dressed up as ghosts, ghouls or other scary characters), carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, apple bobbing, telling scary stories, and watching scary films.
