Copper -
7th Wedding Anniversary

Copper is a naturally occurring metal, popular in jewellery for thousands of years. It represents warmth, safety & security & symbolises prosperity & good luck. It is a traditional gift for the 7th Wedding Anniversary, & a modern alternative to silver & gold, being neutral enough to go with any colourway. It is also thought to relieve symptoms of arthritis, such as joint pain & stiffness.

Bare copper is a bright, shiny metal but naturally tarnishes over time. This tarnish can also be hastened to create an antique look. Whether bright or antiqued, many of my pieces are sealed to prolong the finish, exceptions being bangles and rings; the coating however will wear off with time. To restore its shine, copper can be lightly polished with a polishing cloth (readily available online). Wearing your jewellery can also help to polish the metal and coat it in natural oils from your skin.
